Cookie Policy

Effective date: September 30, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar browser technologies are used when you visit sherwoodsoftware.ai (the "Site"), operated by Sherwood Software Solutions LLC ("Sherwood").

1. The short version

Sherwood has not installed advertising cookies, marketing trackers, or cross-site tracking on the Site. With your consent, Sherwood uses Microsoft Clarity, an optional analytics tool, to understand how visitors use the Site; it does not load unless you accept it. The remaining cookies and browser storage on the Site are used for Site operation, preference management, consultation scheduling, interactive demonstrations, platform operational monitoring, and the delivery of page resources. Nothing on the Site tracks you across other websites for advertising.

2. What is actually set

Cookie and storage preferences. The Site stores your cookie and storage preference in your browser's local storage so that the Site can remember your selection. This preference is stored under sherwood.consent.v1. You can reopen Cookie settings from the footer at any time to review or change your selection.

Platform operational telemetry. The Site is hosted on the Base44 platform. The platform loads a monitoring agent from Datadog, a service that measures application performance and errors, which sets a session cookie (named _dd_s) that identifies your browsing session for monitoring purposes and expires when the session ends. The platform also stores a small number of technical values in your browser's local storage, including a platform session identifier used for the platform's own operational analytics. Sherwood does not control the internals of this platform telemetry.

Microsoft Clarity (optional analytics). If you accept optional technologies in the Cookie settings preference, the Site loads Microsoft Clarity, a session-recording and heatmap analytics tool, so we can understand how visitors navigate and use the Site (for example, page views, clicks, scrolling, and approximate session behavior). Clarity is provided by Microsoft and is not used for advertising. It does not load until you give optional consent, and it stops loading if you later withdraw that consent through Cookie settings; it may set its own cookies or local storage values while active in order to recognize your session. Microsoft's own privacy practices for Clarity are described at Microsoft's Clarity documentation and privacy pages.

Page resources. The Site loads fonts from Google Fonts and a styling resource from a content delivery network. When these load, those services receive standard technical request information such as your IP address. They do not set cookies on the Site.

Scheduling flow. If you submit a consultation request, the Site stores a reference to your inquiry in your browser's local storage so that your scheduling session keeps working across page refreshes. This stored reference expires automatically, is not used for tracking, and you can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Interactive demonstrations. When you use a live demonstration assistant on a demonstration page, the Site keeps that demonstration conversation in your browser's session storage (under a name beginning sherwood-assistant:) so it is not lost if the page reloads. It is cleared automatically when you close the browser tab, is not used for tracking, and sets no cookies.

3. What is not used

No advertising cookies. No cross-site tracking. No social media pixels. No sale of data derived from cookies. Microsoft Clarity, described above, is the only optional analytics tool Sherwood has installed, and it runs only with your consent.

4. Your choices

When you first visit the Site, you can accept optional technologies, reject non-essential technologies, or open the preference controls to make a selection. Microsoft Clarity, Sherwood's optional analytics tool, loads only if you accept optional technologies here; if you reject or have not yet decided, it does not load.

You can reopen Cookie settings from the footer at any time to review or change your preference. Essential browser storage required for the Site to operate remains active. The hosting platform's operational monitoring is set by the platform and is not controlled by Sherwood's Cookie settings.

You can also control and delete cookies and browser storage through your browser settings. The Site's content remains readable if you block cookies, although certain interactive functionality may not work as intended if required browser storage is disabled or removed.

5. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy as the Site's actual behavior changes.
